What Is a Face Chat?
A face chat is a live video conversation where both people see each other on camera at the same time, as if they were sitting across a table. It is the opposite of text chat: no typing, no waiting for replies, no profile photos that may be ten years old. What you see is who is there.
On Chaface the face chat is random. You do not pick a contact from a list: the platform pairs you with a stranger who is online right now, somewhere in the world. The pairing takes a few seconds, the conversation lasts as long as you both want, and "Next" moves you to a new person. Sit facing a window or lamp. A face lit from the front looks friendly; a face in shadow gets skipped in the first second.
Look at the lens when you say hello
The camera is above the screen. Looking at it for the first sentence feels like eye contact on the other side.
Use earphones
Earphones stop echo and let the other person hear you clearly, especially on a phone.
Open with a question, not "hi"
"Where are you chatting from?" or "What time is it there?" gets an answer. A bare "hi" usually gets a Next.
Give it 20 seconds

Is Face Chat with Strangers Safe?
Face chat is safer than most people expect, for a simple reason: you see who you are talking to, and you can leave in one click. On Chaface three more layers are added. The platform is for adults aged 18 and over. Reported content is analysed by AI-assisted moderation that can act quickly, and repeat offenders receive temporary or permanent bans, including IP bans. And the video itself travels peer-to-peer between the two browsers: it is not recorded or stored on Chaface servers.
Your side of the deal is short: do not share your full name, address, phone number, workplace or social media handles in a first conversation; be suspicious of anyone who asks for money or tries to move you to another app in the first minute; and press Next the moment something feels wrong.

The website at chaface.com runs in Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge on desktop, Android and iPhone: nothing to install, and updates arrive automatically. The Chaface Android app on Google Play adds a home-screen icon and keeps camera permissions saved between sessions. There is no iOS app; iPhone users get the full experience in Safari.
